When are we back on the mats?

25th July is the date on everyone’s minds with sport centres planning, and putting procedures in place, to re-open their doors. We are currently talking to our local sport centres to understand how this may look for us to return to the mats, especially with social distancing measures and time allowed in each venue.

Please see the latest information from Rivermead Leisure Centre (GLL) to give an idea of what we will expect to see. Of course, we will keep you posted as we hear more, however we need to bear in mind everyone’s safety and also the consequences of rushing back to the sport centre too quickly.

As you will see from the implentation of the Sport Centre’s COVID sanitising precautions, via the above link, it may be that we are restricted on numbers with 2 metre distancing in place. In order to ensure as many of our students are still given the opportunity to train, this could make deliverying a live lesson on the mats and a simultaneous virtual one for those who can’t make the sessions a less enjoyable experience. Rest assured we are exploring how this can best be managed.

If you have any questions please email us on info@protkd.co.uk or call Senior Master Whiteley on 07860 255 353
